Gloucestershire Farming Friends

Gloucestershire Farming Friends was set up in 1991 by a small group of farming men and women, to give practical and emotional support to those working in agriculture or living within the rural community. The service is free and confidential and has the backing of the National Farmers Union, the Samaritans and Cotswold District Council.

"A farmer's life has become such a lonely one and there are no longer people around to talk to like there used to be - no neighbours to talk over troubles and worries.”

"The challenge is to persuade farmers there is no shame in asking for help. There is no need to try and cope alone all the time - and admitting one needs help is sometimes a sign of strength.
